5/21/2023 0 Comments Such a Rush by Jennifer Echols![]() I love the fact that Leah is a well-developed, strong, independent woman figure who copes with her situation as best as she can. If Leah were a weak-willed sack of a girl crying for sympathy, (as stereotypical) then this story would not have been possible. Seems a little unbelievable, right? Though this is written to make you believe. ![]() She learns to fly airplanes while she is living in poverty with next to nothing to eat and still attends school. With a girl labelled as “trailer trash,” Leah, takes the lead role. Echols has taken what would be a stereotypical idea and turned it on its head. What I really like about Such a Rush is the original plot, the amount of emotions, how they guide and motivate the storyline and the unforeseeable twists. People who despise love triangles (like myself), try this! Such a Rush is an emotional, engaging read, and involves one of the most tense and warped love triangles I have ever come across. ![]()
